Angelique Clemens
Public Speaking/Media Personalities
Public Speaking, Motivational Speaking, Workshop Host, Author Appearance, Podcast Host
Angelique Clemens is an author, speaker, and podcast host whose work bridges science, storytelling, and lived experience. She has spoken internationally on topics ranging from toxicology and STEM education to the themes explored in her books, earning a reputation for being relatable, inspirational, and refreshingly down-to-earth.
With experience engaging audiences as young as early elementary students through STEM-focused outreach, Angelique is skilled at breaking down highly technical and complex subjects into clear, digestible conversations. This ability allows her to connect meaningfully with diverse audiences across age groups, educational backgrounds, and industries.
Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Angelique brings the perspective of someone shaped by a city often counted out but never defeated. Her work is fueled by a commitment to exploring and sharing Black experiences through the lens of a Black woman, offering insight that is both deeply personal and broadly resonant. Angelique has been invited to speak about her experiences as a Black scientist in educational, community, and professional settings, where she encourages curiosity, representation, and self-advocacy in spaces where those voices are often underrepresented.
Her written work spans biographical fiction novels that explore loss and the journey of losing and then reclaiming oneself, as well as self-help short works designed to help individuals maintain their sense of self in an increasingly unsupportive world. To date, Angelique has authored one novel, three accompanying books, and a standalone children’s book. Across all mediums, her work reflects a deep interest in the complexities of human relationships and the resilience required to navigate them.
